At the same time, Andrew and Lisa McClure successfully built Andrew McClure Mechanical, earning a reputation for quality mechanical repairs, reliable service and strong customer relationships. Through their commitment to workmanship and customer care, they established a loyal customer base and a respected local business.

Bringing Two Businesses Together

The Beginning of GCE Automotive

Recognising the opportunity to bring together two well-established automotive businesses, Ashleigh and Michael acquired Andrew McClure Mechanical and merged it with Greenslopes Car Electrics to create GCE Automotive. Their vision was simple: to combine decades of mechanical and auto electrical expertise under one roof while maintaining the personalised service, trusted advice and strong reputation both businesses had become known for.

Remembering Michael Dilkes

Behind every successful business is also the support of those who believe in its future. Michael Dilkes was an important part of that story. His encouragement, dedication and belief in building something meaningful helped create the foundation on which GCE Automotive continues to grow.

Michael believed customers deserved honesty, respect and quality workmanship—values that remain at the heart of everything we do today. Although he is greatly missed, his influence continues to guide our business, our team and the way we care for our customers.

Today, Ashleigh Donnelly is proud to lead GCE Automotive, carrying forward the legacy of Michael Dilkes.
